Job Description

Outside Sales Representative- Engineered Project Group 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Methuen, MA 01844 F.W. Webb, Northeast’s largest wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC and industrial supplies is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative for its New England locations.

Responsibilities:
Business Development:

Identify and qualify potential new customers within the target market (e.g., manufacturing plants, food processing facilities, chemical processing, electrical distribution, EPC’s, pulp & paper, etc.). Proactively seek new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and industry events. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets .

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with new and existing customers. Conduct regular on-site visits to understand customer needs and provide technical support. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering solutions based on their specific requirements.

Sales Process:

Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assist to develop detailed proposals and quotations. Negotiate and close sales contracts. Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.

Technical Expertise:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of industrial control panels, automation systems, and custom piping systems. Collaborate with internal engineering and production teams to develop solutions for clients. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new product developments. Provide technical support and guidance to customers.

Reporting & Administration:

Maintain accurate sales records and CRM data. Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management. Manage travel and expense reports effectively. Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of proven outside sales experience, preferably in the industrial sector. Experience selling industrial control panels, automation systems, or custom piping systems is highly desirable. Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of industrial automation, process piping, and related technologies. Knowledge of various industrial processes and applications. Familiarity with sales CRM software.

Skills:

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to negotiate and close sales effectively. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license. Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
