Technical Sales Engineer – Precision Machining Innovator (Pittsburg, PA) Are you a results-driven Technical Sales Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge manufacturing? Our client, an internationally recognized leader in precision manufacturing, is seeking a talented Technical Sales Engineer to join their newest division, specializing in state-of-the-art CNC machining technology. This division brings precision machining into our client’s core capabilities, delivering customized, high-quality component solutions. They serve a wide range of industries, from aerospace & defense to medical & telecommunication , with proficiencies in 5-axis CNC milling and turning, and Swiss turning. What You’ll Do:
Drive Sales & Technical Solutions As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in expanding our client’s market presence for their precision machining capabilities.
Business Development:
Identify and connect with customers whose product portfolios align with precision machining capabilities, with an emphasis on high-precision machined components.
Technical Expertise:
Actively participate in technical specification review, support estimating, and provide valuable input for the technology roadmap based on customer feedback.
Relationship Building:
Maintain effective relationships with customers, discussing proposed quotes, project details, and timelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work seamlessly with diverse teams including engineering, programming, operations, and planning to ensure smooth project execution.
Strategic Growth:
Utilize your existing contact base and proven track record to expand sales within the automotive, aerospace, and technical industries.
What You’ll Bring:
Your Expertise & Drive Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced technical sales professional with a strong understanding of precision machining. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a technical sales role for high-precision machined components. Aerospace & Defense experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in Cost Simulation and Estimating Tools (MasterCam or similar) is strongly preferred. Excellent client-facing and communication skills, especially with senior management in large corporations. Strong understanding of manufacturing practices, including opportunities and limitations, and proficiency in reading/interpreting blueprints and specifications. Excellent negotiation skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks is strongly preferred. Ability to travel up to 50% domestically as needed. Travel and car expenses will be reimbursed. This position can be remote but will require occasional travel to the New Kensington, PA facility.

Salary Range:
