This position is a direct or contract to hire position with ourNational Client.
Pre-Sales IT Services and Solutions Consultant Seattle/West Coast, Minneapolis/Midwest, DC/Midantlantic,Atlanta/Southeast, NJ/NYC Functional Position Description:
As an IT technical services generalist and solution specialist,this resource is an extension of the sales team working directlywith customers to augment/speed up the Sales by bringing technicalsubject matter expertise to the table. Specifically this resourceperforms the following pre-sales functions: Primary Responsibility As a member of customer facing account and sales team, contributetowards building customer relationship present and speak aboutoverall capabilities Assist sales in Identifying and qualify opportunities within theassigned region or account base. Accountable for identifying and coordinating right solutionproposals working with practice areas and present to client Assist in developing overall capabilities and practice areapresentations. Assist in preparation of Sales Collateral (defining themes,technical articles, white papers, flyers, case studies, andknowledge base portal content) and customer facing marketingmaterials for customer meetings. Proactively work with Sales and Marketing inhosting/coordinating/participating in marketing events around GITSSboth internal and external Provide assistance in building RFI, RFP, and
SOW OVERALL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 12 years of prior consulting experience or as atechnology leader with mid-tier and/or large global management andtechnology IT professional services organizations. Enterprise Software and technology industry experience in aconsultative environment required. Prior experience producing or contributing to the preparation ofProject Proposals, contract management and Statements of Work(SOWs) Can create and deliver C-Level presentations and interface withthem in building relationship Comfortable in a Matrix Management, Cross-functional, andCollaborative Organization Can successfully navigate internal processes to coordinate effortsinternally between Sales, Marketing and IT delivery. Experience in Sales Opportunity Management, Bid/Proposal Managementand Relationship Building. Excellent grasp of competitive landscape, solution services andofferings and market place demands for
ITS Services Personal Skills:
Highly organized, resourceful, with strong creative problem solvingskills. Exceptional customer relationship skills. Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated experience in several of the following preferred: Overall understanding and general experience across all SDLClifecycle including Architecture, Design Development Testing andOperations. Technical knowledge and general experience about solutions basedleading technology platforms providers like
SAP, ORACLE, IBM,MICROSOFT, EMC
etc Experience around large complex global delivery and operationsmodel based on industry standards like ITIL, CMMi etc Experience and knowledge around emerging technologies such asCloud, Mobility, BigData etc
Education & Certification:
Computer Science or Engineering Bachelors Degree required Masters Degree preferred 12 plus years in the IT Services arena as a pre-sales consultant oras a Sr IT technology leader with a large or mid tier servicesprovider. Must have full spectrum understanding solutions and services acrossapplication development, managed services, and infrastructureconsulting spanning multiple industries. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to understandclient challenges, gather requirements and propose solutions.
