Job Summary Southland Transportation Group is seeking an experienced and driven Trailer Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the sales process for heavy-duty trailers, from forecasting and inventory management to building long-term customer and manufacturer relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong background in transportation equipment sales and excels in communication, leadership, and strategic thinking. Key Responsibilities Forecast sales, revenue, and departmental expenses to meet business goals. Achieve growth objectives and sales targets as outlined by the dealership. Build, manage, and coach a high-performing sales team. Foster strong interdepartmental collaboration across the dealership. Develop and maintain lasting relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Maintain strong partnerships with trailer manufacturers and suppliers. Stay current with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings. Analyze financial data and sales metrics to improve performance and profitability. Oversee trailer inventory, including ordering, acquisition, pricing, and build-to-order (BTO) units. Ensure a professional and respectful work environment that aligns with company values and policies, including compliance with the anti-harassment program. Represent the company with professionalism while in uniform and during customer or vendor interactions. Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and positive collaboration with coworkers and supervisors. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the heavy-duty transportation equipment industry. Prior experience in heavy-duty trailer sales strongly preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships. Strong understanding of dealership operations, inventory, and financial analysis. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using CRM tools and other sales-related software.
