Elkmont, AL 35620 Overview We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, promoting our products, and driving sales in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs. Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale. Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. Provides periodic regional sales forecasts. Performs other duties as assigned. Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide custom iron product recommendations. Responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and meeting sales targets within an assigned area. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Establish a residential customer base in which to promote and solicit new, diverse, on-going business by calling on regular and prospective residential customer base via phone or traveling through assigned territory to solicit orders and close sales Coordinate with the Operations manager to prepare sales contracts, other documentation and/or collection for orders and projects Quoting prices and delivery schedules for iron custom projects, considering pricing structures and potential variances. Coordinate customer and project specs with the Operations Manager to ensure that the objective of the project is accomplished in accordance with the customers’ schedule and needs Experience Strong negotiation skills are important for closing deals and securing contracts. Understanding different types and grades of iron, steel, and their applications. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Prior sales experience, especially in the steel industry, is often desired. Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Making in-person sales calls to existing and potential customers. A proactive approach to upselling products based on customer needs is highly desirable. Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and possess a Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
