Wood Group Position Summary:

The Cabinetry Hardware Product Specialist role requires the candidate to be creative, analytical & a strategic thinker that contributes to the bottom line of Wurth Wood Group in relation to margin generation & sales growth in all 18 branches. Candidate will be responsible to execute a sales plan regarding selected hardware products across the company while attaining double-digit sales & margin growth on a yearly basis. Execute sales objectives for category based on detailed knowledge of category trends, market pricing, competitors, suppliers, new market entrants, consumer preferences and demographics, as well as other relevant data. Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail along with excellent organization and follow-up abilities are required. This position is a representative of the company and must foster professional and positive interactions with employees and customers at all levels.

Cabinetry Hardware Product Specialist:

This role will require approximately 60% travel . The travel will be a mix of flying and driving . Living near any Wurth Wood Group location is ideal in order to build comradery with the “local” branch. This role will allow some work from home days between travel, but it isn’t considered a fully remote role. The main focus of this role is to be a full support arm for our territory sales reps which means ride-a-longs with and without those reps visiting customers discussing hardware products to win new business and grow hardware sales and margin. The types of hardware include drawer slides, hinges, decorative cabinet hardware, cabinet lighting, bath hardware accessories, kitchen accessories, fasteners, cabinet locks, brackets, etc . In addition to supporting the sales function through our territory reps, this person would aid in additional support with sales reporting, new product engagement and vendor meetings.

Ideal Characteristics:

The ideal candidate needs to have a competitive mindset and posses a high strength of character. A strong background in cabinet hardware is a large plus. This person must be able to relate to both our external customers, internal sales reps and suppliers. This role will require sales visits to our customers with and without our normal territory outside reps, showing and discussing hardware products earning new business for sales growth. Hardware has tens of thousands of items so this person needs to be a quick learner and understand the process of converting customers to our products while aiding and educating our current territory reps.

Compensation Structure:

$65k Base + $12k Annual Auto Allowance for fuel costs, wear & tear on your personal vehicle, etc. ($1000/month taxable income) + $20k bonus potential = $92k gross pretax income maximum .

Travel and Hotel Reimbursement:

This person will front the costs and submit the costs through Concur for reimbursement of flight and hotel costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive double-digit sales & margin growth for hardware on a yearly basis (main priority/responsibility) Visit customer segments including, but not limited to Architects, Builders, Designers, Kitchen and Bath Showrooms, large and small commercial and residential cabinet shops Work alongside the RSM’s, Sales Reps, Marketing and Purchasing at all locations to drive sales Clear, concise communication through all channels required. Performs other duties as required and assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

Sales training & experience with cabinetry hardware such as drawer slides, hinges, decorative cabinet hardware, cabinet lighting, bath hardware accessories, kitchen accessories, fasteners, cabinet locks, brackets, etc. Experience with Wurth Marketing program to drive Sales Vast experience with hardware (in a Sales and marketing capacity) Proficient with

Education and Work Experience:
