Director of Operations Position Overview:
The Sales and Events Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion as a premier historic venue for tours, events, and rentals. This role involves coordinating with clients for bookings and supporting overall brand visibility to drive engagement and revenue growth. A full job description is attached.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management:
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of special events, including but not limited to weddings, corporate functions, and educational programs. Work with clients and vendors to ensure seamless execution of events, while adhering to the mansion’s policies and procedures. Act as the primary point of contact for event inquiries and bookings. Sales and Events:
o Keep all bridal files and rental calendar up to date. (Using google docs to be shared) o Draw up contracts for special events and invoicing clients. (All payments go to operation/admin for deposit) o Submit monthly sales report to Director of Operations.
Coordinate with operation/admin to:
o Schedule hostess/volunteers for inhouse events and rentals o Schedule cleaning and setting up between multiple events per weekend.
Tour Operations & Visitor Services:
Ensure high-quality, engaging, and educational tours are delivered to guests. Develop strategies to enhance the visitor experience and maximize attendance.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED required, College degree in business administration or hospitality management preferred. • 3 years’ experience in event management and sales preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of historic preservation practices and property management. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and inventory software.
Work Conditions:
Full-time, salaried position. Must be able to work evenings and weekends for special events and tours. Travel may be required for meetings or conferences.
