Job Description

Solution Specialist
We are hiring a Solution Specialist to support sales for both internal and external clients. This role will serve as the main point of contact for CompassMSP team members and customers, providing feedback, documentation, and information required by sales and operations to complete quotes, orders, and customer service requests efficiently. The position involves addressing sales requirements, making product recommendations in collaboration with manufacturer representatives, distribution partners, and the internal services team, and maintaining necessary sales certifications and training to support both internal and external customer service needs.

Solution Specialist Responsibilities
Teamwork & Collaboration
Manage team assignments and organize relevant documents and information related to sales, operations, and external clients.
Serve as a liaison between clients and departments such as sales, operations, and technical services.
Collaborate with services, sales, and manufacturers to provide product recommendations and configurations tailored to client needs.
Contribute to process development to improve overall team efficiency.
Participate in company meetings and attend required training sessions.
Client Communication & Customer Service
Communicate product information and other relevant details to internal and external clients as necessary.
Respond promptly to client inquiries, both internal and external.
Provide customer service support, including assistance with invoices, credit memos, and order tracking.
Deliver accurate quotes to clients in accordance with Inside Sales Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Sales & Order Management
Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues related to orders, invoices, and inventory.
Maintain required sales and pre-sales technical certifications.
Administer and update CRM records as needed.
Work with the purchasing team to ensure accurate and timely order processing by verifying necessary information.
Coordinate with manufacturer partners for special pricing, registrations, and programs as required.
Confirm optimal pricing for all orders prior to finalizing processing.
Monitor product availability and suggest alternatives when items are unavailable.
Maintain close communication with account managers regarding order issues.
Other areas
Actively pursue new opportunities
Keep CRM prospects and forecasts updated
Represent the company professionally through efficient, courteous service
Complete additional tasks as directed by management
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years’ experience as a sales associate or similar role
IT experience preferred, but not required; training provided
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with sales tools and MS product
