Salon Business Consultant is a sales solution specialist role,covering and growing a territory in and around Norwich, New LondonConnecticut (CT) and Westerly Rhode Island (RI) UncappedCommission, vehicle reimbursement plan and full benefits!
Salon/Beauty Industry experience highly preferred EssentialFunction The Salon Business Consultant is responsible for anassigned territory of customers to which their main focus is tohelp grow their salons overall sales. The Consultant will beresponsible for meeting and achieving assigned sales goals byutilizing their manufacturer education and sales resources. Salesshould be expanded upon through opening new doors and sellingapproved beauty products while introducing new products andconcepts. The Consultant will actively use all forms of socialmedia as an additional outlet to serve salons, barbers, spas,schools, and any licensed beauty professional.
Primary Duties:
Growthe Business:
Identify key accounts within territory and establisha route that will be most efficient to grow and develop existingcustomers while looking for new partnerships. Demonstrate andassist customers in developing, planning, implementing, monitoringand tracking results of all in-salon promotions, programs andconcepts. Determine customers’ needs and offer products andservices to meet those needs. Communicate all sales initiativesthrough partnering with vendors including but not limited toachieving corporate sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annualbasis. Acknowledge and respond to all email, text, and phonecommunication in a timely manner (24 Hours) Analyze your accountsto decide what brand support, education, and promotions are neededto grow within that salon. Call on your customers in person inorder to execute established sales goals. Strictly comply withestablished procedures regarding the processing of returnsincluding the pick-up of returns from the customer and completingthe required documents. Timely completion of assignments andprojects that may be assigned. Work with all areas of business,custom.er service, accounts receivable, IT, and any other necessarybusiness function provided entity. Actively prospect for newcustomers through cold calling, social media, and other digitaloutlets Effectively manage all administrative aspects of the rolein a timely manner- including but not limited to daily order entryand regular maintenance of customer information and activity forassigned territory in salesforce.com. Attracting and retainingsalon clientele by utilizing social media as a form ofcommunication, promotion, education and product knowledge. Conducteffective in-person and virtual product knowledge classes.
Communicate with the Manager regarding calls, visits, orders,status of sales progress, follow-up plans and any assistanceneeded.

Be a subject matter expert onutilizing digital platforms & social media to grow the business.
Share your knowledge with peers in order to grow the teams’ digitalcapabilities. Attend all meetings, functions and events andmaintain regular contact as established by the Company orSupervisor Must be available to attend shows, participate in thesetup and dismantling of displays, booths, handling back stock aswell as performing other physical activities that might berequired. Support all new initiatives with a growth mindset whilealso positively fostering change management throughout the team

Minimum of (1) year demonstrated outside sales experience or beautyindustry experience with emphasis on consultative selling. Mustlive within the assigned territory. Working knowledge of inventorycontrol systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred.
Excellent knowledge and experience using Facebook, Twitter,LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media platforms to buildpipelines, books of business, and other business needs. Excellentcomputer skills, knowledge of salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert,and Oracle. Experience with iPad a plus. Ability to build an onlinecommunity and create social connections, including but not limitedto, using search engines and other internet tools. This positionrequires travel on a local level within the territory. It alsorequires attendance at shows, conventions, and educational eventswhich may include overnight travel and/or some weekend nights.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
Frequent and sometimes prolonged periods of driving are necessaryfor this role. Committed to working scheduled hours and has theflexibility to work additional hours based on changing businessneeds. • Strong time management and organization skills and theability to successfully manage multiple projects at once. Abilityto present a professional business image and interact positivelywith the public.
