Summary/Objective The Counter/Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in delivering exceptional services and driving sales in a fast-paced building materials environment. This hybrid position is responsible for assisting walk-in customers at the sales counter and managing inbound/outbound sales through phone and email. This role requires strong product kledge in lumber, hardware, and construction materials and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. It requires attention to detail,anizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions Counter Sales:

Greet walk-in customers, assess their needs, and provide kledgeable product guidance Generate accurate quotes, process orders, handle payments, and manage returns/refunds Ensure displays are well-stocked, merchandised, and properly labeled Maintain the cleanliness of the counter area and ensure merchandise displays remain stocked andanized Balance cash registers Maintain a clean andanized sales counter Assist customers in the yard when needed

Inside Sales:

Handle inbound calls and emails for product inquiries, quotes, and order placement. Proactively reach out to existing and prospective customers to identify sales opportunities. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular follow-u.ps Assist clients with finding the best products that suit their needs Provides quotes and processes orders in an accurate and timely manner Monitor open quotes, follow up on pending orders, and track customer activity Follow up on missing or delayed shipments Collaborate with outside sales reps on customer needs and project requirements. Maintain accurate customer records and sales data in the K8 sales system Proof, process, and accurately enter orders and quotes into our system Accurately process sales orders generated at the counter Process Cash sale returns and refund paperwork Arranges for the return and credit of defective products Assist with customers in the yard as needed Other duties as assigned

Requirements Qualifications & Competencies Education:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

Kledge of building materials products Minimum of 2 years of inside sales experience required.

Skills & Certifications:

Ability to read, write, andmunicate effectively in English and Spanish required. Ability to follow instructions andmunicate effectively. Ability to learn about our products and keep up to date with new products. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as well as multitasking. Ads topany policies, processes, and procedures. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move up to 50 pounds Exposure to a Store warehouse/yard environment with varying temperatures and noise May involve occasional site visits or travel to otherpany locations/sites Position Type & Expected Hours Full-time position

Typical Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Rotational Saturday availability required Occasional overtime or adjusted hours during peak season
