POSITION SUMMARY

The Medicare Telesales Consultant delivers top-tier sales, service and enrollment consultation to Medicare Advantage prospects for Health First Health Plans (HFHP) throughout the region. The Medicare Telesales Consultant integrates individual and team contributions to drive critical growth metrics in meeting department and organizational goals for Health First Health Plans.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES 1.

Engages with Medicare Advantage prospects to provide needs-based sales consultation in a telesales environment. 2. Fields in-bound sales opportunities are routed from various lead sources and markets while maintaining quality and performance metrics. 3. Drive outbound call campaigns as determined by Medicare Sales leadership to support on-boarding, member satisfaction and other campaigns. 4. Foster strong and sustainable telephonic relationships with existing and prospective members while meeting or exceeding sales goals and communicates a seamless understanding of the Health First value proposition and suite of HFHP products offered to Medicare Advantage prospects in each region. 5. Report and document sales and retention activity as required by Medicare Sales leadership in CRM or related systems. 6. Navigate existing and prospective members to appropriate internal and partner resources in securing sales opportunities and handling service inquiries. 7. Understand the competitive landscape in Medicare Advantage in each market and be able to effectively handle competitive objections. 8. Works collaboratively in a team environment and across departments to support overall HFHP growth initiatives and manages and updates Sales’ collaterals as necessary with marketing and compliance teams. 9. Represent HFHP in accordance with all CMS, regulatory and department guidelines based upon a thorough and on-going understanding of Medicare regulations. 10. Provide meaningful feedback from member engagements and competitive interactions in an effort to continually improve sales and service models within the department. 11. Conducts member retention campaigns as required to meet department goals assigned by leadership. Work Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

One (1) year of health insurance experience in a managed care organization.

Licensure:

o Health Insurance licensure in the State of Florida within 90 days of start date and maintained. o Driver’s licensure and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) prior to start date and maintained.

Certification:

(AHIP) within 90 days of start date and maintained.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

o Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. o Clear communication and critical thinking skills able to represent HFHP in telephonic sales engagements. o Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in meeting or exceeding sales goals within a fast-paced work environment. o Ability to navigate basic telephony systems in working within a call center environment.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Associate’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or relevant field.

Work Experience:

o Two (2) years’ experience in health insurance with a managed care organization. o Previous experience selling and delivering Medicare Advantage products in the State of Florida markets.

Certification:

Bilingual certification through Health First approved language certification vendor.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

o Documented ability to exceed sales goals in health insurance sales. o Expertise in the Central Florida Medicare Advantage market and competitive landscape. o High-level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. o Excellent communication and critical thinking skills able to represent HFHP in telephonic sales engagements. o Experience in navigating telephony systems in working within a call center environment. o Bilingual in English and Spanish with ability to pass CMS language certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined.
