Responsibilities Global Rental Company , a division of Altec, ishiring an Account Manager / Outside Sales Representative togenerate new business and ensure the growth of existing accountswithin our South Florida rental market.
THE SUCCESSFUL
CANDIDATEHas a strong commitment to providing customer service within a teamenvironment. Possesses excellent communication, time management andadministrative skills. Has the passion for sales! Is relationship-and value-driven. Enjoys selling & renting heavy machinery andequipment! Examples of related equipment are construction or farmequipment such as dozers, cranes, or tractors; or military heavyequipment such as the MRAP vehicle or tanks. Aircraft and GroundSupport Equipment (GSE) sales is also good experience.
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
Four-year Bachelor’s Degree. At least two years ofsuccessful outside sales experience preferred. Equipmentexperience, knowledge and interest is a big plus. Must be availablefor extensive overnight travel. Bilingual in English and Spanishstrongly preferred Total communication and information processingskills are required. PC skills using spreadsheets, word processing,and other office management applications required. The job level isable to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets thequalifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the careerpath.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer customers’ questions aboutproducts, prices, availability, product uses, rental rates, andcredit terms Arrange for installation and test-operation ofmachinery Attend sales and trade meetings, and read relatedpublications in order to obtain information about marketconditions, business trends, and industry developments Collaboratewith colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategiesand marketing information Complete expense reports, sales reports,and other paperwork Complete product and development training asrequired Demonstrate and explain the operation and use of productsIdentify prospective customers by using business directories,following leads from existing clients, participating inorganizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferencesInform customers of estimated delivery schedules, servicecontracts, warranties, or other information pertaining to therental or sale of equipment Maintain customer records, usingautomated systems Negotiate rental rates and terms of sale; Quoterental rates, sale terms and RPO buyout numbers Select the correctproducts or assist customers in making product selections, based oncustomers’ needs, product specifications, and applicableregulations Study information about new products so that productcan be accurately depicted and proper recommendations made Preparesales presentations and proposals that explain productspecifications and applications Verify delivery schedules to meetcustomer deadlines regarding upcoming rentals or sales.
