Position Overview:
The Outside Sales Rep is responsible for generating leads, meeting with potential customers, and closing deals for roofing projects. This is a field-based role ideal for someone who’s confident, persuasive, and thrives in a fast-paced, commission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and follow up on sales leads through canvassing, referrals, and marketing campaigns Conduct roof inspections and present findings to potential customers Educate homeowners and business owners on roofing options, insurance claims (if applicable), and project timelines Prepare and present detailed estimates and proposals Close sales and guide customers through the contract and scheduling process Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity using CRM software Work closely with the production and project management teams to ensure a smooth handoff and customer experience
Requirements:
Proven sales experience (construction, roofing, or home improvement industry a plus) Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Self-motivated and able to manage your schedule effectively Comfortable working outdoors and on roofs (training provided) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Familiarity with CRM systems and mobile tools is helpful
