Role:
As a Sales Consultant at Walker’s Marine, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction in our used boats division. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that align with their boating aspirations. You will be instrumental in maintaining an inviting showroom environment, ensuring that all boats are presented in an appealing manner. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies that increase foot traffic and conversion rates. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall success and growth of our marine business on Marco Island.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in retail sales or customer service. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the marine industry or knowledge of boating. Sales training or certification. Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide detailed information about our used boats, including features, benefits, and pricing. Conduct follow-up communications with potential buyers to nurture leads and close sales. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the showroom and inventory. Collaborate with team members to develop promotional strategies and events.
Skills:
The required skills of communication and interpersonal relations will be utilized daily as you interact with customers, ensuring they feel valued and understood. Your sales experience will help you identify customer needs and effectively present our products, leading to successful transactions. Knowledge of the marine industry, while preferred, will enhance your ability to answer technical questions and build trust with clients. Organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the showroom and managing inventory efficiently. Lastly, collaboration with your team will require strong teamwork skills to create a cohesive sales strategy that drives results.
