We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Specialist to support the expansion of our presence in the public sector. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in business development who is eager to grow and contribute to the company’s success. The position will focus on building client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting business development efforts with a focus on the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
Assist in developing and executing business development strategies that align with the company’s goals. Support efforts to identify new market opportunities and growth potential within the public sector.
Client Relationship Management:
Help cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, including government officials and other stakeholders. Support efforts to provide tailored solutions and respond to client needs.
Market & Proposal Management:
Monitor industry trends and help identify potential growth opportunities. Assist in managing RFQ/RFP processes, ensuring proposals are persuasive and compliant with client requirements.
Business Development Activities:
Attend networking events and industry conferences to generate leads and increase visibility. Help with cold calling, follow-ups, and maintaining CRM tools to track leads and opportunities.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business development goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. 1-5 years of experience in business development, preferably with some focus on the public sector. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of public and private markets, including procurement processes. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft 365. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and independently when required.
