The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. Inside Sales Agent duties and responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Agent to join our dynamic procurement team. This position will play a vital role in supporting the procurement / sales process by assisting with communicating with customers during various stages of the sales process, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience in procurement and sales and contribute to the success of our organization. The Inside Sales Agent will work and negotiate with partners, vendors and suppliers to purchase goods, products and services for Aegis clients. This person will work alongside our VP of Procurement, Account and Sales Engineer to make sure we are providing best practices and cutting-edge hardware, software and cloud services for Aegis clients. This person will also work with our Logistics team scheduling deployment of items procured while also working with accounting on the sales process. This role may have the following duties and responsibilities: Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
Interviewing vendors and visiting suppliers’ facilities to learn about products, services and pricing
Negotiating terms with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
Verifying purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products
Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
Authorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories
Attend industry trade shows, regional sales and procurement partner events to learn about and stay current on trends and to meet suppliers Skills needed for the ideal candidate:

• 2 years experience in sales, marketing or procurement
• Microsoft Office products expertise
