About LakewoodRegional SupportOur regional support center provides resources toour hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources,Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations,Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry andCommunications.

A Loews Hotels Group Coordinator is responsible forthe proper reservations processing of all contracted group roomblocks. The Group Coordinator represents the properties and theLoews Hotels brand. As the main point of contact for contractedgroups rooming requirement/issues the position must be able tocommunicate with a warm, professional and efficient manner. GroupCoordinator ensures that group contracted rooming requirements aremet and that requirement/needs outside of the block are met oralternatives provided based on the needs of the hotel in achievingits financial goals. Group Coordinator has direct contact with keygroup personnel via phone, email and in person. Position is alsoresponsible for internal communication regarding group blockstatus/issues/etc.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Review Group turnovers from Sales Managers and make necessaryadjustments 5% Assign proper rooms as per contract and/or rooming list 5% Verifies group rates 3% Enforces and/or informs cutoff dates in a timely andprofessional manner 2% Create group landing pages if necessary 5% Communicates with group contacts via phone/email or in personpromptly and politely. All email correspondence must beprofessional and follow Loews Standards. 10% Utilizes interpersonal skills to communicate with groupcontacts regarding room block issues/concerns, cut-off dates,special needs/request, etc 3% Anticipates group needs whenever possible and alerts groups inadvance to sold out dates over group block or sold out pre and postdates to eliminate surprises at the time the rooming list issubmitted 5% Recognizes and manages group requests that fall outside of thecontracted room block in a professional manner and informs Cateringand/or Sales Manager responsible. 5% Processes all work completely and accurately 5% Sends out cutoff dates and other relevant information 2% Ensures complete and accurate billing is established on everygroup reservations 10% Produces/updates/distributes pick-up report 5% Participates in pick-up, resume and pre-cons as required.5% Has an understanding of attrition and how it impacts groupyield decisions. 3% Alerts all necessary parties as to possibility the group willbe in attrition Assists in inputting and sending out rooming lists to client5% Reviews resumes 2% Completes all double check and review processes as appropriateto each group Tracks group pick-up performance for future reference Oversees and maintains group filing system to ensure groupinformation is organized and easy to obtain Other duties/projects as assigned Regular attendance in conformance with standards May be required to work varying schedules to reflect businessneeds of the operationQualifications Must be customer service oriented and have excellenthospitality skills Must have excellent written and oral English communicationskills and telephone etiquette skills Must have excellent computer skills and basic MS officesoftware knowledge Must be organized and able to prioritize work load Must be able to type 25 wpm Previous Reservations/Front Desk experience preferred Knowledge of a second language an asset OPERA Cloud and/or Passkey knowledge is a plus
