In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while driving sales in a retail environment. Your ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and promote products will be key to your success. This position requires a strong focus on upselling and maintaining an organized sales floor. Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently, including processing transactions and handling cash register duties. Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory management. Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing at all times. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns. Apply basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and provide support during busy periods. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred. Strong understanding of retail math concepts and basic math skills for transaction accuracy. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and phone etiquette. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with POS systems and cash registers is highly desirable. A proactive attitude towards upselling and enhancing the customer shopping experience.
