GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Assists Administrator in overall supervision of all major programs affecting the Masonic Home. These programs include the health and welfare of the residents and staff, facility operations, personnel practices and public relations. He/she will assist the Administrator in various projects and tasks such as staff orientation and quality assurance programs, etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Must be a Certified Florida Assisted Living Director . Basic knowledge of financial accounting and budgetary methods. Knowledge and background in healthcare administration and management. Must have worked in a healthcare facility, which will augment administrative experience and coursework.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with assuring the operation of the Home remains in compliance with licensure regulations. 2. Responsible for the care, comfort and well being of the residents of The Masonic Home and assist in the management of their personal/financial affairs. 3. Act as the administrative concierge for ALF residents 4. Monitoring of market trends and consumer needs 5. Participate in the development and management of the Masonic Home Outreach program including connecting with Masonic Lodge members and District support. 6. Work with the Administrator in planning, organizing and participating in external marketing events. 7. Participation in center monthly budget review. 8. Inspect the facility on a daily basis and to make report directly to the Administrator. 9. Participation in ongoing programs for the purpose of obtaining CEU credits for licensure. 10. Attend all upper-management meetings. 11. Take direction from the Administrator and will perform delegated tasks which will improve the operation of the Home.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Works indoors in contact with residents, staff and guests. Works throughout the facility and with the public. 2. May work extended hours, on-call for emergency situations and may need to do some traveling.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Must have a commitment to and interest in geriatrics and the emotional stability to handle the specialized needs of the aged, ill and dying. 2. Must be a good communicator with the ability to handle many kinds of people in varied situations. 3. Must be a good manager of people, time, finances and responsibility.
