The Avionics Sales Leader will lead Americas pursuits of the Avionics product line and will partner internationally with regional sales leaders throughout the globe to expand GE Aerospace Avionics market penetration in these other markets. This is a dynamic and exciting business that provides networked computing, digital backbone, data transfer systems, controls and displays, flight management systems, health management, stores management, cockpit and data recorders, and a full complement of other Avionics capabilities. This product line is robust and growing. Avionics provides products and services to commercial and military customers, so demonstrated success and experience in one or both areas previously is strongly desired. In this role, you will lead a team of experienced professionals and is ultimately responsible for their professional development, ongoing coaching and success. The role also has direct customer engagement opportunities. The Avionics Sales Leader will implement regular pipeline reviews with sales staff to check in on progress of opportunities, provide meaningful strategic guidance, and ultimately achieve or exceed sales targets for this business. This role partners closely with the Avionics General Manager and subordinate product line leaders to grow the business, ensure high quality customer engagement and expanded intimacy, as well as to shape future product line strategies in collaboration with this team by representing the voice of the customer and providing insights into a constantly evolving competitive landscape. This role will also be responsible for implementing a GE Aerospace-proprietary capture process, and coaching the staff as they also implement the process. Robust participation in the continued improvement/adoption of capture best practices to improve Avionics’ market competitiveness.

- + Responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects in the Avionics product line of GE Aerospace within the Americas geographic area + Demonstrate solid business acumen in shaping new opportunities expertise across customer groups (both defense and commercial).
Influences acquisition policy and ensures delivery across large and/or diverse sales territories + Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services + Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process + Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers + Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis + Provide leadership and manage sales professionals + May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity + Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view + Influences others to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers
- Required Qualifications
- + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years in a Sales Leadership role) + A minimum of 12 years of experience selling product, services, parts, and/or solutions
