It will handle phone calls and emails as well as will provide assistance to the sales team in all coordination and evaluation of activities and issues related to the department. This position will also be responsible for data entry, creating sales reports, contacting customers to update them on the status of an order or a delivery, providing sales representatives with details of customers’ orders and requests for quotations, and make them aware of any problems likely to affect customer relationships, and other duties and support as assigned. Requirements Answers phones, transfer, and/or takes messages. Acknowledges customers’ e-mails or letters for the sales team. Enters orders in system (data entry) and checks that it includes the correct price, discount level and product requirements. Prints labels and place work orders in appropriate production basket(s) and back-up docs in blue book by company name. Ensures the work orders and its back-up document(s) are set together, and verifies the work orders information matches customer order (quantity, ship to, etc.). Prepares and prints/sends certification to customer (if required). Processes delivery tickets. Takes simple orders from customers, as assigned. Processes UPS labels for shipments. Files and scans. Creates and maintains customer records, updating details when contacts change or when customers request quotations or place orders. Ensures customer service and quality by logging any customer problems or complaints so that sales representatives and managers have a complete picture of the customers’ interactions with the company.
