June 2025 Summary The Residential Sales Representative – Market Development is responsible for growing our residential customer base by selling our full line of internet, IP Video, and phone services in designated Single Family Units in our new market areas. The Residential Sales Representative – Market Development will also represent the company at community events and provide competitive intelligence within the market. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following: Walks door to door pitching products and services directly to potential customers Works in assigned neighborhoods and routes, tracking leads and following up Logs daily activities and customer interactions Reaches monthly installation goals by selling internet and additional services to new residential customers within an assigned territory Represents WOW! Internet, Cable, and Phone at SFU property events, association meetings and other local events Achieves the minimum number of expected SFU knocks, contacts, appointments, presentations and sales Partners with sales leadership, local operations, and marketing teams to collaborate on competitive threats and growth opportunities Demonstrates advanced knowledge of company core values, products, & procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. College degree in sales, marketing or business is preferred. One to three years of professional sales experience is preferred, preferably in the communications or technology industry or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Proficient with Microsoft products and utilizing other web-based applications. Ability to learn new software systems and access online support/tools including Spotio, MapAnything, and Salesforce Skills and Abilities to be Successful in this Role Must be highly organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure Ability to self-motivate and work independently Ability to meet external demands, pressures, strict deadlines, and sales objectives Experience building relationships with internal and external customers Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships Ability to articulate and communicate to internal and external customers. Professional appearance and attitude Strong verbal, written interpersonal, and listening skills. Ability to work beyond normal business hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner Ability to work with, and in, a team environment
