The Sales Coordinator at Wilmington Woodworking plays a crucial role in managing customer relationships, supporting the sales team, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients, production, and design teams. This position is responsible for handling inquiries, sourcing materials, processing orders, maintaining project records, and promoting strong communication with clients to ensure a smooth sales process. The Sales Coordinator will also assist in administrative and basic bookkeeping tasks to support general business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Sales Operations
- Input estimates into the accounting system accurately
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely invoicing of projects
- Manage accounts payable by coordinating vendor payments and reconciling invoices
- Keep product catalogs, pricing, and marketing materials updated and organized
- Support marketing initiatives, such as showroom visits and social media updates
- Order office and general shop supplies as necessary Order Management & Coordination
- Work with sales and production teams to source and procure materials required to fulfill custom cabinetry projects
- Create and organize project binders for production staff, ensuring accurate documentation and specifications
- Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure seamless project execution Sales Support & Customer Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for initial inquiries
- Assist sales team with customer communications and meeting scheduling as requested
- Support sales team during design process by procuring samples and documenting client preferences Qualifications
- Experience in sales, customer service, or administrative roles, preferably in woodworking, cabinetry, or a related industry
- Experience in billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks Online required
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Monday, preferred
- Ability to quickly learn new software preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate between multiple teams
- Knowledge of woodworking or cabinetry is a plus but not required
- Assist sales team with customer communications and meeting scheduling as requested
- Support sales team during design process by procuring samples and documenting client preferences
