POSITION TITLE

Senior Outside Sales Specialist

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct new customer prospecting. Establish and cultivate effective business partnerships with customer decision makers and support staff. Develop a sales strategy with your portfolio of customers to achieve organizational sales goals, including: assortment planning, new item introductions, promotions, and sales events targeted primarily on cordless tools, new generation of current best sellers and other products in our portfolio. Develop a regular routine of customer communication, interaction and follow-up. Actively participate in sales presentations and brand building opportunities within your customer organizations. Conduct market research to understand and react to market trends. Attend Trade Meetings, Industry Conventions to drive brands and develop customer relationships. Analyze sales performance data and develop action plans to address sales opportunities. Receive inbound customer calls to assist with product inquiries, sales orders and problem resolution. Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Fluency in English is required. Excellent, persuasive, verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Demonstrated negotiation skills. Ability to interact professionally with executive level personnel within you customer portfolio. Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail. Excellent computer skills, especially proficient in MS Office Word and Excel. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities to achieve desired goals. Ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and demands. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Quick to learn in ambiguous circumstances. Ability to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer with Pnuematic Tools, Water Pumps or Compressors. High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

2-3 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer. Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.
