  • Hybrid work About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Development Officer (BDO) to support our Channel Finance.

The BDO will partner with coverage teams to deepen existing and new relationships within the Commercial Bank. In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives and sourcing of new clients or growing of existing relationships for a given product or specialty in close coordination with coverage teams Understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions within the context of individual deals and client relationships Work independently on client transactions in partnership with client teams, including complex, larger, and multi-product financing opportunities, including analyzing potential opportunities, structuring, proposing, and selling tailored financial solutions to clients, leading internal coordination, and submitting transactions to management or independent risk for approval Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, mid to senior level managers to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives Make decisions and resolve complex, multi-faceted situations and lead a team to meet a given product or specialty’s objectives while leveraging a sound understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Partner with product management functional partners to provide recommendations to leadership on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively Participate in large-scale planning related to a given product or specialty’s business objectives Serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Channel Sales, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth Experience in Asset-Based Lending (ABL) with a focus on technology hardware and software resellers and distributors. Expertise in sales enablement, including tools, processes, and strategies that support and accelerate the sales cycle Solid credit acumen with the ability to understand client financials and structure appropriate credit solutions Strong relationship management skills, with a proven ability to acquire, grow, and retain client relationships Strategic sales thinker who can identify market opportunities and develop plans to capture them Highly execution-oriented, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets Proficient in using CRM platforms to manage pipelines, track client engagement, and drive sales performance

Job Expectations:
