Laureate Imports Company was established in 1979 as a subsidiaryof The Coca-Cola Trading Company. Its original mission was togenerate counter-trade benefits for The Coca-Cola Company inseveral European Countries where Coca-Cola was expanding business.
Laureate imported wines to the United States Market and portions ofthe hard currency generated were used in the host countries to buyingredients to further the soft drink business there.
In 1991,Coca-Cola sold Laureate Imports Company to a major wine supplier atthat time in Slovenia named Slovenijavino. In 2000, Slovenijavino’strademarked wines were acquired by the very well-known and highlyregarded winery, Klet Brda in Dobrovo on the Italian border. Thewinery unites 400 families, who have been working together for overfifty years and have turned local wine making into a successstory.
Our mission is to capture in our wines the uniqueness of theBrda terroir and use effective marketing to contribute to thedevelopment of the region and the prosperity of the localpopulation.
Qualifications:
ALL 5 + years’ experience in the wine &spirits sales and distribution industry. Possess a network ofestablished nationwide wine & spirits distributors and accountsBase knowledge of wine with a desire to expand wine educationBachelor’s degree preferred Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel,and PowerPoint Motivated self-starter and able to workindependently to achieve sales goal Excellent organizational andtime management skills Must be sales and targets driven Driver’slicense, safe driving record, proof of insurance Reliabletransportation Excellent customer service skills Team playerAbility to lift 40 pounds
Tasks:
