Position Overview The Business Development Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other potential referral sources to increase client admissions. This role requires a strategic approach to outreach, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for helping those affected by addiction find the treatment they need. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential referral partners including healthcare professionals, therapists, hospitals, employee assistance programs, and community organizations
- Represent the treatment center at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase referrals and admissions
- Conduct presentations and facility tours for potential referral sources
- Coordinate with clinical and admissions teams to ensure smooth referral processes
- Track relationship development activities and outcomes using CRM software
- Maintain detailed knowledge of treatment programs, insurance acceptance, and admission criteria
- Organize and host educational events for referral partners and the community
- Collaborate with marketing team on outreach materials and strategies
- Prepare regular reports on outreach activities and referral metrics Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health settings
- Knowledge of addiction treatment, recovery principles, and behavioral healthcare landscape
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong networking abilities and professional relationship-building experience
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally/regionally (approximately 50% of time)
