DescriptionAmazon Shipping is innovating in the parcel delivery operations and logistics space and is looking for a driven, high-performing Sales Development Representative to work with retailers in the US. In this role, you will facilitate the usage of Amazon’s logistics capabilities to service their customers’ needs. The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to scale Amazon Shipping by driving commercial growth, and will have familiarity with leading sales prospecting, lead generation, and working with large customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in finding prospective accounts to identify new customer opportunities, driving successful customer conversations, navigating ambiguity, and the ability to operate in a scale-up environment. You will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding commercial goals. Key job responsibilities

  • Entry-level experience in sales development and/or technical background and interest in developing a career in sales
  • Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal skills, decisive, and results-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with other sales team members to ensure opportunities are understood and next steps are clearly defined via discovery and qualification calls
  • Utilize product knowledge and internal resources to leverage technical skill sets to understand customers’ needs
  • Achieve all input and output goals including contacts prospected, leads qualified, customer calls completed, meetings scheduled, and opportunities created
  • Support building leads and pipeline for the sales team by leveraging outbound prospecting and qualifying inbound opportunities, as well as supporting self-service shippers through the end-to-end registration process
  • Accurately track activity and develop pipeline using a CRM (Salesforce), with the ability to leverage self-service reporting tools
  • Innovate new and creative ways to engage with new customers
  • Track and interpret trends to identify high-potential prospects A day in the life Engage internally and externally to support customers.

This includes reviewing and contacting new leads assigned to you or that you prospect. You will be reaching out to customers through email and phone, hosting efficient discovery calls with customers while on camera, connecting with stakeholders up and down the sales funnel. You will collaborate to think big, prospect new pipeline, engage with new customers, and improve processes and increase efficiency across the team. We are the first point of contact for our customers and we obsess over them to improve their experience with Amazon Shipping. We collaborate with our worldwide cross-functional internal teams and look for ways to improve and scale our processes. Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional or military experience
  • 1+ years of generating new opportunities with strong focus on pipeline tracking and deal execution through entire sales cycle experience
  • 1+ years of exceeding quota and key performance metrics experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in EnglishPreferred Qualifications
  • Experience and record of success in an outbound account management or prospecting role in B2B environments, preferably in a solution/technology-related environment
  • Experience using Salesforce.

The base pay for this position ranges from $52,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $111,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
