We operate 19 branch locations and 14 showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Function:

The Residential Plumbing Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with residential builders, plumbing contractors, remodelers, and developers to drive sales of plumbing products and solutions. This role focuses on providing tailored support to customers working on single-family, multi-family, and custom home construction projects. The representative is accountable for achieving sales targets, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication and expert product knowledge.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with residential plumbing contractors, homebuilders (production, semi-custom, and custom), and remodelers.
Prospect for new accounts and actively grow the customer base through job site visits, networking events, and industry contacts.
Serve as a key partner to customers, offering product recommendations, technical expertise, and project support.
Prepare accurate and competitive pricing proposals, quotes, and submittals in collaboration with the inside sales team.
Track residential construction activity and upcoming developments to generate new sales opportunities.
Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment.
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
Meet or exceed assigned sales goals, revenue targets, and profitability objectives.
Maintain thorough records of sales activity, customer interactions, and project status in CRM software
Maintains customers’ pricing, Negotiates, and establishes pricing and terms according to PDI’s requirements for customer profitability.
Communicates to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for the product.
Assists in collecting past due receivables, monitors customers’ current credit status.
Determines sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation, or periodical research.
Visits job sites as needed to measure or provide client services.

Position Requirements:

BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required
College a plus
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in plumbing wholesale or a similar industry
Candidate must be self-motivated, aggressive, and self-confident.
