Position Summary:
As a Commercial Tire Salesperson, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with fleets, construction companies, municipalities, and other commercial clients across Athens and the surrounding counties. This is a field-based sales role that involves a mix of business development and account management, with a strong focus on growing market share through cold calling, consultative selling, and reliable follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new commercial accounts through in-person cold calls, phone outreach, and referrals Manage and grow existing customer accounts by providing expert tire solutions, maintenance programs, and service recommendations Recommend tire products and services including TBR, OTR, industrial, and retread options to meet customer needs Prepare and present pricing proposals, quotes, and bids Coordinate with service managers and dispatch to ensure timely and quality service for customers Track sales activity and customer interactions using internal systems Participate in team sales meetings and training sessions Represent the company professionally in the field and build strong community relationships
Qualifications:
Prior outside sales experience preferred—especially in the tire, automotive, or equipment industry Knowledge of TBR (Truck/Bus Radial), OTR (Off-the-Road), and industrial tire applications is a strong plus Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-driven with a passion for closing deals Willingness to make cold calls and pursue leads consistently Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills Capable of multitasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment Willing to work long hours if needed to meet customer needs and close opportunities Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
