The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for inbound and outbound calls and follow-up to ensure targeted profitable growth in support of the Commercial and Industrial lines of business. This involves engaging in all new development activities of an assigned book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect & Qualify Leads
Conduct outbound calls and respond to inbound inquiries.
Identify decision-makers and service needs. - Present & Sell Services
Deliver effective pitches and service proposals.
Close new business and meet sales targets. - Manage CRM & Pipeline
Log all activity, track follow-ups, and update status in CRM. - Coordinate with Operations
Ensure smooth service setup with ops teams. - Track Contract Expiration Dates
Obtain expiration dates - Provide Excellent Customer Service
Respond quickly and professionally to all inquiries. - Stay Informed
Maintain knowledge of GFL services, pricing, and competitors. - Prospecting & Cold Calling

Outbound calls, emails, and lead generation efforts. - Lead Qualification & Follow-Up

Discovery calls, contract date tracking, and consistent follow-up. - Proposal Creation & Closing

Preparing quotes, handling objections, and finalizing sales. - CRM Updates & Admin Tasks

Logging activity, updating pipeline, managing tasks in Wishes 360. - Coordination with Ops & Field Teams

Staying current on pricing, services, and competitive insight
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. One (1) or more years of sales and/or customer service experience
Microsoft Office experience
Strong phone communication
- Clear, confident, and persuasive.
CRM experience - Accurately track leads, follow-ups, and pipeline activity.
Industry knowledge - Understand dumpster sizes, pricing, and service options.
Lead qualification skills - Ask the right questions and uncover decision-makers.
Follow-up discipline - Persistent and organized in closing business.
Quota-driven mindset - Motivated by targets, activity, and results.
Script & talk track execution - Delivers a compelling value pitch.
Team player - Collaborates well with sales, ops, and support teams.
Strong time management - Prioritizes daily tasks and manages pipeline.
Positive, competitive attitude - Driven, coachable, and eager to win
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Ability to generate and manage leads, opportunities and contract negotiations
