Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Inside/Outside Sales Representative to join our team specializing in emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire trucks, police vehicles, and specialty response units. This role combines office-based lead generation and quoting with in-the-field client visits, demos, and relationship building. The ideal candidate has a strong background in B2B sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for serving the public safety sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage sales leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and referrals. Conduct on-site visits with prospective and existing clients (fire departments, EMS providers, law enforcement agencies). Build long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs and providing customized vehicle solutions. Prepare and deliver formal proposals, product demonstrations, and presentations. Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, service, finance) to ensure customer requirements are met. Attend trade shows, vendor events, and industry conferences to promote company offerings. Maintain CRM with accurate and timely updates on sales activities and pipeline. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments.
Qualifications:
Proven 2+ years of experience in B2B or fleet sales (emergency vehicle sales preferred). Familiarity with emergency vehicle specifications, procurement processes, and government contracts is a plus. Strong negotiation and closing skills with a customer-first approach. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally up to 50% of the time.
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
