The rate of pay depends on experience between $90,000-$100,000 per year with potential bonuses. This position follows a Monday-Friday fulltime schedule. Responsibilities and Duties Identify and approach potential clients, including developers, government agencies, engineering firms, and contractors, to secure new projects. Cultivate these relationships through regular meetings, calls, and networking opportunities. Serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional services or future projects. Provide excellent service to retain and grow these relationships. Develop and execute client retention strategies that focus on building long-term partnerships, resolving client issues promptly, and ensuring high client satisfaction. Identify ways to cross-sell or upsell services to existing clients, aligning the company’s broad service offerings with the client’s evolving needs. Regularly gather client feedback and take part in negotiations once contract is secured. Continuously monitor market trends, emerging sectors, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for business growth in civil construction, such as site preparation, infrastructure development, and utility projects.
Strategic Targeting:
Develop and implement strategies for targeting key sectors (e.g., public infrastructure, commercial developments, environmental projects) that align with the company’s growth objectives.
Competitor Intelligence:
Gather insights on competitors’ pricing, services, and client relationships to develop competitive strategies for positioning the company in the marketplace. Lead the creation of competitive proposals, RFQs (Request for Quotation), and RFPs (Request for Proposal), ensuring that all documentation accurately represents the company’s capabilities and differentiators.
Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Required:
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the construction industry. Ability to lead initiatives and inspire teams to pursue business growth opportunities. Expertise in negotiating contracts, securing favorable terms, and ensuring compliance with company goals. Valid Driver’s License Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
