Business Development Position Available In Lafayette, Louisiana

Business Development Select Risk Insurance Group Lafayette, LA 70501 • Hybrid work The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new commercial insurance clients. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual with a passion for sales, relationship building, marketing, and helping businesses protect what matters most.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect and generate new commercial insurance leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and marketing campaigns Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and meet/exceed monthly production goals Conduct client consultations to assess insurance needs and deliver tailored solutions Collaborate with producer and CSR to present competitive proposals Attend industry events and maintain an active presence in the business community Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications.

Qualifications:

1+ year of sales or business development experience, preferably in insurance or financial services Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Self-starter with a results-driven mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in
