Position Summary Our Business Development Associate will manage the end-to-end life cycle of developing relationships with new customers and curating freight services to meet the needs of the business. This role will be multi-faceted, working closely with carrier partners to meet customer demands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and acquire new customers via phone, referrals, trade shows, and networking. Manage current customers while developing relationships to grow customer base. Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to meet customer’s needs. Provide exceptional customer support and resolution communication. Engage in strategic negotiation to ensure profitable outcomes and sustainable partnerships. Consistently provide support and communication throughout the shipping lifecycle. Act as main point of contact for shipment tracking, load planning, and issue resolution. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor’s Degree preferred Persistent drive to prospect new business Excel within a collaborative sales environment Ability to overcome objections and have strong closing skills Strong customer service skills Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly convey the benefits of our service Minimum of 1 year of brokerage sales experience required Ability to maintain and grow an existing book of business Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
