Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team! This position is based in our warehouse facility , where you will be the first point of contact for walk-in customers looking to place orders. You will assist customers with product inquiries, provide accurate pricing and availability information, and process sales efficiently and professionally.

this role is in a non-climate-controlled environment and may require working in varying temperatures. •Pay for this position is dependent upon experience
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist walk-in customers in a courteous and professional manner Identify customer needs and provide product education and solutions Generate sales orders, quotes, and invoices using our order entry system Communicate pricing, lead times, and product availability clearly Coordinate with the warehouse and operations team to ensure timely order fulfillment Handle returns, exchanges, and resolve customer issues promptly Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service Review internal job schedules and sales orders daily to queue warehouse pulls in the correct priority order Create accurate pick list for warehouse personnel, organized by job number, customer, and due date. Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or product knowledge in metal supply or industrial sales is a plus Prior sales or customer service experience, preferably in a wholesale, industrial, or construction supply environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale or order entry systems Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
