Job Overview:
The Associate Director, Business Development specialising in biologics is an integral role in leading strategic business development initiatives, manage high-value and key client relationships, and drive significant revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for aligned with the company’s overall strategic goals. Contribute to a long-term global business development strategy with good understanding of regional business from different regions. Identify revenue growth opportunities and work with internal stakeholders to determine and drive the sales, revenue growth, potential of opportunities, and marketing efficiency to achieve the team and regional business outcomes. Manage and grow team or regional key accounts (# of account); establish and nurture client relationship at all levels including executive level in client’s organization. Independently manage relationships with high-value team or regional accounts, ensuring alignment with client goals and Pharmaron’s business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at regional client organizations. Own building, growing, and maintenance of client portfolios to drive high impact and long-lasting relationships. Understand client’s sourcing need and setting sales strategies for specific service areas and clients in collaboration with internal stakeholders based on research and understanding of the client. Collaborate with leadership to propose, finalize, and monitor budgets related to sales and business development activities. Represent Pharmaron at high-profile industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and generate leads.
What We’re Looking For:
Advanced degree in life science field (MS or PhD preferred) with 3+ years in business developmen t within the life sciences industry, preferably in the
CRO/CDMO
sector. Candidates must have at least 6+ years of hands-on research experience in a scientific laboratory setting. Industry-based experience required, but should demonstrate a clear understanding of scientific inquiry. An understanding of the CDMO and Biologics market and environment and Drug R D Process and Trends. Deep expertise in strategic account management and business development leadership with a successful track record of maintaining and meeting quotas, managing territories, and closing sales. Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is preferred. Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills for managing high-stakes accounts. High energy individuals who are result oriented and highly self-motivated Must be located in Boston and have a deep understanding on the Boston market is essential. Why Pharmaron?
