About the job:
This is an inside sales position which is responsible for the sales and promotion of our complete line of Pipe, Valves, Fittings and engineered specialty products. Strong customer service, organization and time management experience is desired. Working as a team, you will assist both the inside and outside account managers to maximize sales and deliver exceptional customer service. Most training will be acquired on the job.
Responsibilities include:
Respond to customer inquiries and deliver sales support to our inside/outside sales team. Determine clients’ requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products, services and/or solutions. Manage accounts to provide complete quotations and on time deliveries. Increase sales and average profit per order by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering featured promotional sale items. Accurately communicate between vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery and expedite shipments if necessary. Prepare quotations and work with our outside sales team to successfully close opportunities while maintaining margin requirements. Enter sales orders into ERP system (Epicor’s
PROPHET 21
) and manage them thru shipment to assure zero errors.
Preferred qualifications:
experience Knowledge of the industrial pipe, valves and fittings market (PVF) preferred Strong written, verbal and phone communication skills Willingness to develop (and maintain) strong customer relationships Strong planning skills with the ability to work independently as well as the desire to want to work amongst a strong team Demonstrated ability to multi-task, assign effective priorities to tasks and to operate with a certain level autonomy is needed Willingness to work in the warehouse completing shipments if needed Positive attitude, good judgment and high energy are required for this position Must be proficient in Microsoft office Salary commensurate on experience. This is an on-site position out of Worcester, MA, applicants should be able to regularly and willingly commute to Worcester, MA. Positions require pre-employment drug screening and acceptable driving record.
