Job Summary:
The RMS Sales Specialist is a dynamic, results-driven role focused on promoting and selling our comprehensive suite of training programs to commercial clients. This individual is a persuasive communicator with a passion for helping others, a consultative sales approach, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Proactively identify and engage prospective clients to grow our customer base.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships by understanding client needs and offering tailored training solutions.
Sales Presentations & Demonstrations:
Deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicate the value of our training programs.
Sales Negotiation & Closing:
Confidently manage sales cycles from initial inquiry to contract signing, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal marketing and training teams to align strategies and initiatives.
CRM Management:
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline progress, and client communications.
Brand Representation:
Stay informed on industry trends to enhance sales effectiveness and contribute to brand visibility.
Lead Generation:
Continuously source new leads through calls, emails, and in-person outreach.
Event Participation:
Represent DirigoRMS at local events, trade shows, and conferences.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Manage daily communications and respond to client inquiries Review and update CRM systems Conduct outreach to prospective and existing clients Assist with updating training materials (as required) Travel to client sites for meetings, presentations, and training (as required) Track personal sales metrics and align with team goals Participation in internal sales meetings Coordinate and schedule training sessions
Education:
Experience:
2+ years in a sales role, ideally in education, corporate training, or workforce development
Certifications:
Sales or training certifications (e.g., CPLP, CSP) are a strong plus
Training Experience:
Background in developing or delivering training programs is highly beneficial
License:
Valid driver’s license is required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Relationship Skills :
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset
Results-Oriented:
Track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets Proficient in computers Ability to follow instructions Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform 80% sedentary work, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Reaching, walking, standing, and stooping may be required. Visual clarity and field of vision to observe detailed information on screens and documents.
