What are we looking for in our Outside Sales D2?
Russell Tobin’s client is hiring an Outside Sales in Portland, ME
Employment Type:

Hybrid (Travel requirement), Portland, ME
Pay rate: $23•25/hr
Responsibilities:
In-Person Visits (60%): Conduct on-site visits to prospective restaurant partners within assigned territory.
Initiate conversations and build strong relationships with restaurant owners.
Gather key insights on restaurant ownership, operations, and current third-party delivery usage.
Identify objections or concerns preventing partnerships with DoorDash and document findings.
Travel up to 60-80 miles and stay overnight as needed.
Meeting Setup (20%): Engage with restaurant owners to schedule follow-up meetings with DoorDash representatives.
Generate interest in company’s value proposition and partnership opportunities.
Information Gathering & Reporting (10%): Collect detailed business insights, including ownership structure, delivery needs, and competitor partnerships.
Accurately log findings into the CRM system to inform future sales strategies.
Follow-Up & Administrative Work (10%): Conduct follow-up calls and emails to confirm appointments and maintain lead engagement.
Collaborate with the sales team to align strategies and refine outreach efforts.
Requirements:
Experience & Skills:
Prior experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with restaurant owners.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
Experience with CRM software and data entry is a plus.
Travel & Commitment:
Must be comfortable traveling up to 60-80 miles for on-site visits.
Willingness to stay overnight as required.
Availability for a contract role of up to three months, with potential for extension.
