Kennebunk, ME Sales Manager Job Description Job Summary:

The Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department, as well as sells products offered by the company to current and new clientele.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Hires and trains Inside and Outside Sales Representatives.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of Inside and Outside Sales Representatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership to the Sales Team.
• Reviews and analyzes customer/sales data to direct sales efforts.
• Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports to forecast sales, and identify new opportunities, markets, and lost business.
• Coordinates with the General Manager to determine delivery and driver schedules.
• Coordinates with Credit Manager and/or Controller to review and address delinquent customer accounts.
• Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product and/or service needs; identifies and suggest products and/or services to meet those needs.
• Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may impact sales operations, up to and including covering delivery routes as necessary.
• Acts as a company representative at trade/promotional meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Business Sales & Marketing Degree preferred
• 2-5 years relevant experience in seafood marketing, sales, business.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of riding/driving.
• Prolonged periods of standing and or walking.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 65 pounds at times.
• Must be able to travel.

Job Type:

Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week
