Dave Mungenast St Louis Honda is hiring a personable and motivated New-Vehicle Salesperson. The New-Vehicle Salesperson is responsible for selling new vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
Other duties include:
Satisfying the transportation needs of new-vehicle purchasers. Selling and delivering a minimum of 10 units per month. Assisting customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses. Explaining product performance, application, and benefits to prospects. Offering test drives to all prospects. Following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive. Establishing personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devising a strategy to meet those goals. Delivering vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork. Introducing customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department. Maintaining an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business which contributes to customer satisfaction. Maintaining a professional appearance. Maintaining a clean, professional, and safe work environment. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Must have basic computer knowledge and typing skills. This position requires frequent walking, standing, and sitting as well as working indoors and outdoors under varying climate conditions. At least one year of sales or vehicle sales experience. Courteous, effective, and professional communication with customers and staff is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Pay is commission. Average of $50,000. the first year but possibility of $80,000-$200,000+ after experience and building of clientele.
