Position Overview:
The Sales Representative – Outbound provides customer service to Amcon’s customers. The Sales Representative – Outbound presents and sells company products and services to existing customers by creating orders and answering general inquiries via outbound phone calls; ensuring all efforts are made to build rapport with customers and maintain relationships. This position is base pay plus a monthly commission with the ability to earn up to $47,000 or more per year. The base pay would be $18.50 per hour. Day to
Day Responsibilities:
Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Proactively recommend products to customers based on customers’ needs and interests. Estimate or quote prices, payment terms, and delivery dates. Achieve monthly sales goals and communication metrics within an established geographical sales territory. Prospect and develop new business with established eye care professionals. Grow sales with existing customers via outgoing phone calls and customer database. Receive and process customer orders using CRM software to manage the sales process. Consult with and follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and to provide ongoing support. Responsible for training new Sales Representatives.
Qualifications:
Ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional service-oriented manner. Strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills to gather information through active listening, comprehension and speaking for customer service focused business. High level of critical thinking by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems. Initiative to take on responsibilities and challenges without a high level of oversight. Maintain professional demeanor under pressure.
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of related Customer Service experience with sales environment or similar position. Amcon is an equal opportunity employer.
