Category Sales Department 910•Direct Sales Type Regular Full-Time Overview TierPoint is looking for a motivated Security Sales Specialist. The TierPoint Security Practice helps clients protect the security of their critical information with a new market-leading service, best practices, innovation, and technical leadership. You will work as a member of the TierPoint Sales team to consult with customers and outline solutions that solve the customer’s business and IT security challenges.
The position is a remote position, and you will work with Sales teams across multiple markets. In addition, you will serve a critical role in the pre-sales organization and support our direct and channel initiatives. Working with various stakeholder groups across the Company, including Sales, Marketing and Professional Services, the Security Sales Specialist must be able to manage various projects simultaneously, with an entrepreneurial spirit, ready to grow the security practice as if you were working at a startup. Responsibilities In coordination with Senior Client Executives, prospect new customers and grow business with current customers by effectively positioning our security services as a must-have addition to other TierPoint services.
Drive the sales process of our security solutions, including qualifying opportunities, forecasting, and assisting the Senior Clients Executives in closing new sales.
Articulate the value proposition of our security offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Conduct client presentations, demos, and workshops to drive awareness and engagement
Learn and understand the Company’s offerings in all areas through self-study, acquiring relevant certifications, and participating in Company-sponsored training
Help ensure that Company-recommended solutions are comprehensive, achieve customer expectations, and meet customer business and planning needs.
Take a consultative approach with customers and co-owning the technical side of customer relationships with our engineering teams
Develop relationships with TierPoint Account and Channel Teams, plus the appropriate customer technical personnel, to establish market credibility and ensure the Sales team understands the customer’s security needs
Provide quality internal and external customer service in line with Company values
Other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to identify customer challenges and position potential security solutions
Ability to speak to the different security concerns and issues
Excellent negotiation skills
Self-motivated with ability to work with limited direction and oversight
Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources
Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform job responsibilities
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and with others
Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications Preferred Experience Minimum of 2 years in security product/service sales
Required certification: CompTIA Security+
Optional certifications: SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Prior experience, particularly in the IT services industry Working Conditions Ability to travel a moderate amount (25%) for internal and customer meetings
Work from home however this position must be located on the West Coast Pay Transparency

It’s important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors•i.e. budgetary requirements. The salary range listed below is not inclusive of total on target potential earnings and/or eligibility of the position. Pay Range $101,000.00•$155,161.86 #LI-CG1 #LI-Remote
