Rental Sales Specialist 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Richland, MS 39218 • Remote We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Rental Sales Specialist to drive rental revenue. This role focuses specifically on temporary power solutions, including generators, load banks, transfer switches, and related equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in power generation sales or rentals and thrives in a solutions-driven, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a territory business plan focused on rental sales growth in power generation equipment. Prospect, identify, and close new rental opportunities across industries such as commercial, utilities, data centers, and healthcare Work with service and sales operations to generate leads and grow our customer offering. Serve as a technical consultant for clients, providing tailored power solutions based on load requirements, site conditions, and application needs. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the power rental fleet including diesel generators, automatic transfer switches, distribution panels, and cable packages. Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, contractors, facility managers, and engineers. Collaborate closely with internal operations teams to ensure timely equipment delivery, setup, and service. Prepare accurate and timely quotes, contracts, and customer communications using CRM (taskbridge). Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote rental solutions. Ensure full compliance with pricing, credit, and safety policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience). 3+ years of experience in rental sales, with a strong preference for experience in power generation or electrical systems. Working knowledge of generator sizing, load balancing, and temporary power distribution. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical, consultative selling environment. Exceptional communication, customer service, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and travel regularly within the assigned territory. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
