Position Summary:

The Inside Sales & Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing orders, and supporting the operational workflow. This role requires a candidate with experience in the manufacturing, steel, or construction industry and a strong understanding of metal products, blueprints, and Excel .

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Engagement Respond to inbound customer inquiries and proactively manage outbound communications to support current and potential clients. Meet occasionally with customers on-site to understand needs and follow up on projects. Order & Inventory Coordination Accurately process orders in the system with minimal assistance. Coordinate purchase orders, invoicing, and services required to fulfill orders. Assist with inventory management, particularly for customer-specific materials. Operational Support Work closely with operations, production, and purchasing to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. Read and interpret blueprints and customer drawings to verify order requirements. Monitor work progress and provide timely updates to internal teams. Team Collaboration & Reporting Generate sales reports and updates for leadership. Handle confidential company and customer information professionally. Support team members and management as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years in inside sales or operations in a manufacturing, steel, or construction environment. Blueprint reading skills are a must. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, or similar platforms). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), pivot tables is essential. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
