Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our sales team at our Shelby location. We offer our sales consultants a base salary and a tiered commission structure for every sale. Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales. The ideal candidate will focus on building long-term relationships and on managing the sales process with customers from lot selection to ready to dig stages. In addition, the sales consultant must be self-motivated, goal oriented, and an exceptional communicator. Demonstrating honesty and integrity and setting good expectations for customers is essential. Providing exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction is also a vital requirement for this role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Understanding the needs of clients and developing plans to meet those needs is of the utmost importance. Qualify customers based on their budget and land requirements. Develop proposals with detailed pricing for custom homes. Secure purchase contracts that meet Sedgewick Homes’ standards for excellence. Maintain continuous communication and contact with customers to ensure sales move through the sales cycle effectively. Proactively follow-up with prospective customers. Collaborate & interact with management, team members and construction teams. Candidate must be a proactive problem solver with the ability to handle all situations with perseverance and professionalism. Actively work CRM system for managing prospective customers. Maintain model home and/or sales center for exceptional first impressions and customer experiences.
Qualifications:
Ability to reliably work a retail sales schedule that includes evenings and Saturday’s is required. Proven closing skills. Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required . No real estate license is required.

Model/Sales Center Hours include:
10:00 AM to 7 PM Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday Sales consultants have one weekday off each week and Sundays off.

Base Salary plus tiered commission structure.
