Job Description

About the Role The Lead Generation Specialist will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting the firm’s overall growth strategy. This position will report to a member of the senior leadership team and requires an understanding of the strategy consulting industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to generating leads and nurturing relationships. Responsibilities Identify and research potential clients and business opportunities within the life sciences sector, including pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms. Qualify leads based on strategic fit and potential value to the firm, ensuring alignment with our consulting services. Initiate contact with prospective clients through targeted outreach, including calls, emails, and industry events. Schedule presentations to demonstrate the firm’s expertise and value in addressing industry-specific challenges. Collaborate with project managers to develop tailored proposals and presentations that address the unique needs and goals of clients. Plan and coordinate the firm’s attendance at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events relevant to our industry. Develop strategies to maximize visibility and engagement at events, including organizing speaking opportunities, panel participation, and networking sessions. Prepare and present regular reports on lead generation efforts, pipeline status, and sales performance. Utilize Salesforce and other tools to track and manage business development efforts. This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in-office at least two days per week (Wednesday & Thursday) in Durham, NC. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the life sciences consulting or professional services environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence executive leadership. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a performance-based incentive plan.
