This includes on-farm production, live animal handling, custom-harvest facilities, and delivery of finished goods. Additionally, the Meat Program Coordinator will maintain sales relationships for by-product channels, further-processing, and opportunity-based sales (freezer and over-stocks). This is primarily an office based position with local or regional travel up to 20%. Job Responsibilities Below is a brief outline of the essential job functions and duties, which may be adjusted by management from time to time. 1. Develop and maintain relationships with farm producers, including existing B2B relationships as well as fostering new ones. 2. Monitor compliance with Joyce Farms Animal Welfare and Regenerative Agriculture programs. 3. Maintain accurate record keeping. 4. Forecast needs of livestock resources and coordinate on-farm production. Negotiate livestock prices in conjunction with Sales Manager and Executive Leadership. 5. Develop and maintain relationships with custom-harvest facilities. Review performance at least annually. Address issues (mis-packs, mis-fabs, etc.) on a perpetual basis. 6. Coordinate humane live-haul of livestock to custom-harvest facilities. 7. Write cut sheets according to sales forecasting. Send cut sheets to custom-harvest facilities in advance of slaughter/fabrication in accordance with their lead time requirements. 8. Maintain accurate record keeping of Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) in conjunction with Quality Assurance Manager, and supply to further-processors as needed. 9. Receive boxing (inventory) reports from custom-harvest plants and write receiving PO’s in a timely and accurate manner prior to the anticipated receiving date. 10. Perform Profit & Loss (P&L) financial analysis on every load received. Provide reporting to Sales Manager and Executive Leadership on a weekly basis. 11. Using market analysis and advisement from the Sales Manager, set pricing for boxed whole muscle, trimming, and offal/by-product using min and max established pricing. 12. In conjunction with Accounts Payable, coordinate timely payment to all parties in the supply chain including, but not limited to, livestock suppliers, custom-harvest facilities, further-processors, and freight carriers. Approve invoices and supply to AP in a timely manner. Calculate livestock payments and supply payment instructions to AP in compliance with the Packers & Stockyards Act. 13. Develop and maintain sales relationships with further-processors and end-users for trimming, by-products, overstocks, and freezer sales. Aggressively market those products to build demand and increase their value. Meet or exceed YOY tonnage goals that are assigned by the Sales Manager and Executive Leadership. 14. Track inventory age and quantity by analyzing the quarterly physical counts, monitoring inventory levels in ERP software (Entrée), and monitoring inventory levels and age in the proprietary inventory software (Appsheet). Participate in physical counts when assigned by the Sales Manager (can be weekly, monthly, or quarterly). Enter and retrieve information from SalesForce software. 15. Maintain a close working relationship with the warehouse staff in order to liaise between Sales and Shipping & Receiving. 16. Logistical planning, shipment of samples and equipment, packing, and execution of food shows. 17. Work food shows with the Sales team to grow sales, meeting the goals set by the Sales Manager. 18. Additional tasks as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED Three or more years of meat and poultry processing experience preferred Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Strong communication skills; verbal and written Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail Valid North Carolina Driver’s License Physical/Mental Requirements 1. Will primarily work in an office environment, with frequent visits to the production floor, and from time to time must be able to transition from wet and cold to dry and dusty environments without issue 2. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
