Job Description Our Sales Representative develops customers, bid opportunities, and long term sales planning for the region, focusing on high-value sales opportunities that will grow the footprint and profitability of Lyndon Steel.

Responsibilities include:

Works with estimating department to develop a steel fabrication proposal and submit to general contractor Develop deep relationships with customers in the region/category and take a leading role in communications with them Identify bid opportunities in the region/category and with assigned customers Research and identify the markets, industries, and customers in the region/category that will achieve the sales plan Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion Develop customer relationships with the decision makers working for the general contractors that will make us successful Maintain contact with existing and new customers to foster relationships and determine customers’ needs – and connect the dots between customers’ needs and how Lyndon Steel can meet those needs and solve the customers’ problems Maintain and build new relationships with erectors and suppliers Provide detailed and accurate information on sold jobs to Project Management Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue and further relationships Travel as needed Constantly work to improve customer base Communicate constantly and effectively with the sales and estimating teams, project management, and senior leadership Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following: Steel fabrication sales or similar experience Ability to handle multiple projects Ability to process all sales quotations, and sales orders for assigned territory Ability to set and manage priorities Familiar with construction concepts, practices and procedures Strong negotiation skills Focus on meeting bid deadlines Proactive involvement in sales, margins, and business development targets Maintain an up to date knowledge of company products, capacity, and constraints Proficient in Microsoft Office Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
